Erukkan Wick :
Lamps are lit to bring in auspiciousness, light and prosperity. Lighting lamps with Erukku wicks attracts the blessings of Lord Ganesh. Wick being a symbol of energy confers different types of benefits. Erukku wicks help to increase wealth, grants good health, fortune and drives away negativity by charging the atmosphere with positive energies. It is called as giant milkweed, white madar and wicks are made from the small fibers of the plant. They are used along with cotton wicks to keep the lamp burning for a longer time.
Please let me know how can I use it?
I was very skeptical. However, it burns well when wrapped with cotton wool.
I tried the leaf on its own as well. surprisingly, it burns for an exceptionally long time.
Because I do not live in India, I could not find any fresh leaves for Ratha Saptami to have the morning head shower as per Anitha's you tube. So, decided to use the dried leaves bought from Viha. I hope it was acceptable by Surya Dev 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
